Apex Running Shorts

The Apex Running Shorts were built around one obsession: removing every piece of friction between you and a great run. The four-way stretch fabric uses a tight 87/13 recycled polyester-elastane blend that moves with your stride in every direction without bunching, pulling, or restricting hip flexor range of motion. The quick-dry finish pulls sweat away from skin and evaporates it fast enough that these shorts feel dry within minutes of stopping a run.

The built-in compression liner does three jobs simultaneously: it provides light muscular support, eliminates the need for separate compression shorts, and most importantly, prevents inner-thigh chafing on long runs. The liner sits snug without constricting blood flow — the fit point is consistent across the size range, a detail that cheaper shorts often miss outside of medium sizes.

Storage is more thoughtful than most running shorts manage. The zippered rear security pocket holds a modern smartphone up to 6.7 inches; the zipper pull is large enough to operate with sweaty hands without breaking stride. Two side pockets have mesh panels at the base for drainage after rain runs. The 2.5-inch elastic waistband distributes the shorts’ weight evenly and doesn’t roll or fold down during hill repeats.
